Researchers can search individuals using their first and last name or their Minnesota Department of Corrections Offender ID number. There are also options to narrow the search and filter it by date of birth, race, county, sex, and other criteria. The service is free of cost and the information obtained by the search will include basic details of the offender, such as their date of birth, full name, offender ID number, and current custodial status.

In addition to that, clicking on the offender’s name will display more information about them such as their criminal background, physical description, release date, and details of the offense committed by them. Note that details of newly sentenced offenders can take a few business days to appear in the searches.

The office of the Department of Corrections of Minnesota is open Monday through Friday during regular business hours (8:00 AM to 5:00 AM). Residents can also choose to request parole records by emailing primary details of the parolee (full name or the offender ID number) at [email protected].

Another way of conducting a parole search in the state of Minnesota is through the State Public Criminal History Search, which is managed by the State Department of Public Safety and the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.3

The online search tool allows Individuals to search parolees by their first name, last name, and date of birth.4 This search gives information such as court conviction details, sentence details, nature and detail of the offense committed by the person, and current status (whether they are currently incarcerated, released, on parole, on probation, or have absconded). It is important to note that the records are only available for 15 years after the completion of the sentence by the offender.

Look Up Parole Violators & Escapees Throughout Minnesota

The Minnesota Department of Corrections has a wanted fugitives list that can be used to search for parole violators and escapees throughout the state.5 The search can be performed using full names or Offender ID numbers and the results will give mugshots, criminal history sentence date, and last release date.

In addition to that, Minnesota inquirers can also conduct a parole search for parole violators and escapees using the Department of Corrections Offender Locator Online Tool. The tool will display the status of “Absconder” or “Wanted” in the individual’s results. How To Track Down Inmates in a Minnesota State Prison

The most accurate and up-to-date source to look up inmates in the state prisons of Minnesota is the Offender Locator Tool, developed and managed by the Department of Corrections.

This tool can be used for details of not just parolees, as mentioned earlier, but inmates currently incarcerated in the prisons of Minnesota, as well as absconders and those who have completed their sentences and have been released. The inmates can be searched either by their Offender ID number or full name.

The search will provide detailed information about the inmates such as their physical description, current custodial status, release date, and criminal background.

To contact an incarcerated individual, the Department of Corrections of Minnesota gives two options: the first is mail, while the second is electronic messages.6 Mails can be sent to Minnesota inmates at the facility they are being held in. It must include the full name of the inmate, their Offender ID number, as well as the complete address of the correctional facility.

How To Contact Parole Officers & Look Up Scheduled Hearings in Minnesota

The Hearings & Release Unit of the Minnesota Department of Corrections manages the schedule for upcoming parole hearings.

The unit can be called at 651-361-7580 for information about parole hearing dates. However, the schedule for parole hearings for individuals who are serving a life sentence can be found online at the Life Sentence Review Page (note that the list is updated regularly).9

To look up information about parole officers in the state of Minnesota, residents can use the Department of Correction Community Services Directory.10

How To Access Information on Anybody on Probation Throughout Minnesota (Free)

Parole allows incarcerated individuals a chance to complete their remaining prison sentences outside of correctional facilities under the supervision of a parole officer. However, in some cases (less severe offenses), the victim can be granted probation instead of proper prison time, still under the watchful eye of a probation officer.

The Minnesota Department of Corrections Offender Locator Online Tool can be used to see if someone is on probation through the state.

Residents can search by the probationer’s full name and if they are currently on probation, the results will show the status of “Probation.” Interested parties can also search individuals on probation in Minnesota through the State Public Criminal History Search which is regulated by the State Department of Public Safety and the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.

The public criminal history search tool allows searchers to search probationers by their full name and date of birth.

To look up someone on probation in Hennepin County, Minnesota, the County’s Probation Department can be called at 612-348-6180 or emailed at [email protected].11 Primary details of the individual of interest will have to be given to the department to find their probation details.
